Accessibility Statement

The accessibility standard WindspeedSEO targets, exactly what has been tested and how, what has not yet been tested, and how to report a problem.

Draft — not yet final

This document is an implementation draft. Legal entity details, jurisdiction, contact addresses and effective dates are marked as required and must be completed and reviewed by the business and its counsel before public launch. It is not legal advice.

Our target

WindspeedSEO aims to provide a website and software experience usable by people with disabilities, and targets WCAG 2.2 AA for supported public experiences. Targeting a standard is not the same as having been certified against it, and this statement does not claim conformance.

What has actually been checked, and what has not

Accessibility claims are worth only as much as the testing behind them, so this section separates the two rather than combining them into a general assurance.

Verified by automated checks on every build

These are asserted programmatically against the generated pages and fail the build if broken:

  • Every page declares a language and has exactly one h1.
  • Heading levels are not skipped.
  • Every image carries an alt attribute.
  • Semantic landmarks and a skip-to-content link are present on every page.
  • Form fields have associated labels, and errors are linked programmatically.
  • No internal link is broken.

Verified by scripted checks in a real browser

These were exercised in Chrome against the built site, driving the interface the way a person would rather than inspecting the markup:

  • Navigation menus open and close by activation, and expose their state to assistive technology.
  • Escape closes an open menu and returns focus to the control that opened it.
  • The mobile navigation opens, closes and locks background scrolling.
  • Interactive elements receive a visible focus indicator.
  • Pages do not overflow horizontally at narrow widths or at 200% zoom.
  • Reduced-motion preferences suppress transitions.

Not yet verified

These require manual testing that has not been performed, and this statement does not claim them. They are the exact checks recorded against this website's accessibility launch gate, so this list cannot drift from what is actually required:

  • Screen-reader testing with NVDA, JAWS or VoiceOver
  • Speech-recognition and switch-access input testing
  • Measured color-contrast verification across component states
  • Testing on real mobile and tablet devices rather than emulated widths
  • Testing in a non-Chromium browser
  • Genuine keyboard traversal, tabbing through each page type end to end

An independent third-party audit is recommended and is not part of that gate.

The full record of what was exercised in a browser, and what still needs a person, is published with the site source as BROWSER_QA.md.

Known limitations

Some third-party content and integrations may have accessibility limitations outside our direct control. Where we become aware of a limitation that affects a supported experience, we will state it here.

Pre-launch note

The manual accessibility testing listed above has not yet been completed. Until it is, this statement claims only what has actually been tested.

Reporting a problem

Tell us the page or feature involved and what happened. Do not include passwords or credentials in an accessibility report. Use the contact form, or the accessibility contact address once published: [REQUIRED: accessibility contact address].

No response-time commitment is published. If an accessibility service level is agreed, it will be stated here.
