Integrations
Connect the data and website systems WindspeedSEO needs - no more than necessary
WindspeedSEO asks for the minimum access that lets it do its job. Two read-only Google connections cover almost everything. A WordPress connection is added only on Managed Automation, and only because publishing requires it.

The four connections
Google Search Console
Read-only. The first-party record of how your site performs in Google search: queries, pages, clicks, impressions, click-through rate and average position. Every trend in the product starts here.
Both plans

Read-only. What organic visitors did after they arrived — sessions, engagement and conversions — which is what makes commercial relevance measurable rather than assumed.
Both plans
Connection detail →PageSpeed & CrUX
Platform-managed, no setup required. Lab performance measurements plus real-user Core Web Vitals field data where Chrome reports enough traffic for your site.
Both plans

Companion plugin with separate machine credentials for provisioning and publishing. Required for blog publishing and developer implementation.
Managed Automation only
Connection detail →The access principles behind every connection
Least access
Each integration requests the narrowest permission that makes it work. Where reading is enough, only reading is requested.
No password sharing
You are never asked to paste your normal WordPress password into WindspeedSEO. Machine credentials are issued and used instead.
Separate credentials per purpose
Provisioning and publishing use different credentials, so one can be rotated or revoked without disturbing the other.
Revocable at any time
Every connection can be disconnected from your account, and Google connections can also be revoked directly from your Google account.
Secrets are not readable
Stored credentials are encrypted at rest and are never displayed again after saving, only rotated or revoked.
Tenant isolation
Every request carries explicit organization context, so one customer’s connections and data are never reachable from another’s session.
What this website does not connect to
Worth stating plainly, because it is a common confusion: this public marketing website does not connect to your Google account or your website. Integrations exist inside the WindspeedSEO application at app.windspeedseo.com, after you have an account. Nothing you do on windspeedseo.com touches your data.

Frequently asked questions
What integrations does WindspeedSEO need?
Google Search Console and Google Analytics 4, both read-only, on every plan. PageSpeed and CrUX require no setup because they are platform-managed. WordPress is required only on Managed Automation, where publishing and implementation take place.
Why does WindspeedSEO only request read-only Google access?
Because it only reads. Nothing in the product needs to modify your Search Console or Analytics configuration, so requesting write access would be asking for permissions it would never use — which is both a security risk for you and a review problem for us.
Read-only scopes also make revocation straightforward and unambiguous.
Can I disconnect an integration later?
Yes, at any time, from your WindspeedSEO account or from your Google account directly. Disconnecting stops further data collection from that source immediately. Data already collected is handled according to the privacy policy and the account lifecycle.
Do I need all integrations for WindspeedSEO to be useful?
Search Console is the one that matters most — without it there is no first-party view of search performance. Analytics 4 adds the behavioral half, which is what separates useful traffic from any traffic. PageSpeed and CrUX need no action from you. WordPress is only relevant if you want work performed.
Does WindspeedSEO integrate with other analytics or CMS platforms?
Not in this version. Google Search Console and Google Analytics 4 are the supported data integrations, and WordPress is the supported publishing platform. If your site runs on something else, Insights still delivers full monitoring and analysis, because it never needs website access at all.
Is my data shared with third parties?
WindspeedSEO uses external providers for keyword, SERP, competitor and backlink intelligence, and those queries concern publicly observable search data rather than your private analytics. The current list of subprocessors is published on the subprocessors page.
Connect two properties and get a baseline
Read-only Search Console and Analytics 4 access is all Insights ever needs. Managed Automation adds WordPress when you are ready to publish.
